Done it 5 times and it doesn't get passed the Kitkat guy ! Useless !

Did you copy all of the files to the root of the SD card?

Is the SD card formatted to FAT32?

If so, when you hold down the reset button for 15+ secs, do the lights on the front of the unit flash between red and green?

I don't know what the root is. I downloaded the file and then dragged and dropped to the SD card which i did format to FAT32. When i plugged in the green light came on steady, never blinked but the red did. Thanks for getting back to me. No tv is very frustrating.

What is meant by root of the SD card, is extracting all of the files from the Zip folder

And then putting them onto the root of the SD card, which means not in any sub folders.
And to have only those files on the SD card and nothing else.

Windows does not recognize IMG as a file, so that is why you are getting the can't mount and disc image file is corrupt.

The How to Video shows exactly what to do from beginning to end.

I have tried to reset my 1800E to factory but lost power while doing this and now all I get a solid green light for status and even if I hold the button on the back for 30+ seconds the solid green status never changes, also if I hook up a lan cable I do see the net status flashing. If I hold the power button on the front for approximately 10 seconds the green status goes off but I have to unplug and leave power off for 30 seconds otherwise the status light never comes back.

Any suggestions would be of great.

Thank you

I have this box and it's updated with the Android 5.1 upgrade. However, ever since the Beta version, which was sent OTA, my 1800e no longer can be turned on or off with the remote or with the On/Off button on the machine. I have to actually physically unplug the AC cord and then replug it in. Why is that? I'm going to factory restore, and then reinstall the Lollipop upgrade again. I'm hoping, however, if somebody can tell me why the on off function doesn't work. It hasn't worked since the Beta upgrade, then the subsequent permanent upgrade to 5.1. Can you tell me how to fix this, if this method does not work? It's annoying not being able to turn the box on or off with the remote, and having to unplug/replug it in. I paid almost $200 for this box! Also, please get the Android 5.1 upgrade for the 585 please and tyvm. Your other software has a glitch with clearing the cache within Kodi/TVaddons.

Okay. I tried factory restore to Android 4.4 and the machine can be readily and easily turned on/off with the remote, or with the ON/OFF button on the front. Having satisfied myself it was not a corrupted or broken TV box causing the problems, I then upgraded back to Android 5.1. As I expected, the remote would once more not work when I tried to turn the box on or off.   In terms of the on/off button, the ON button's green light will come on when I press it to turn on the device, but as was the case previously, the MyGica home screen does not appear. Again, I had to disconnect and reconnect the AC cord for the home screen to appear. I think you need to do an update patch for this problem, even if I'm the only one experiencing it.  I would suggest you try looking at the code for the 4.4 system On/Off function, because it works just fine. The Lollipop 5.1 On/Off code is simply not working on my ATV 1800e device.

Hi Justin.

Thanks for all the work you put into this so far...

The question below might be repeatable.

Can you kindly confirm if there will be a stable version 5.11 coming out in the near future to correct all technical issues associated with the new upgrade version 5.11 on 1800E/1900AC models?

Thanks

So, after installing your new BETA for 1800E, my wifi no longer works...grr. This is getting ridiculous. The on/off switch works though. But remote on is still kaput.

Thank you. I will try to re-apply it on myGica 1800e, and will keep you posted on how it goes.

Good day, Justin.

After downloading this latest Beta version "MyGica_1900AC/1800/582/380_Android_5.1_20170612 1.0.0" as you recommended, and installed it on my 1800e. Every thing works perfectly. I was able to install Google apps and a few others. The WIFI and Ethernet connect signals are perfect. Nothing is grieved.

However, when it came to install 'fusion.tvaddons.ag', an error message popped up said that it cannot connect to the host server. But, I saved it any way. Hence, I enabled 'Unknown Source' in order to install third party apt. Next, I tried to install a couple of addons zip files in the 'Fusion' folder. But, no matter how many times I clicked on the 'Fusion' folder, it did not open up the folder, and finally, another error message came up saying that "it cannot connect to the server"????.

Is there any suggestions to fix the connection to the host server issue? It seems that I cannot install anything in Kodi Krypton 17.3 which came with the install package.

Hi dxn131,

Fusion is a Kodi addon which is not a problem with the MyGica firmware.

Google for the latest fusion addon  plugin, but you might find fusion has gone.
