Hey Justin

I asked back around the beginning of Aug and don't think you got back to me; just wondering when this will be out of beta and out as a full version?

I downloaded the unzipped (2) files onto a card and also tried a memory stick. I put into MyGica 1800E , when I go to update local it does nothing. I'm a newbie but learning by reading these posts as well as youtube videos. Appreciate any advice

After having tried the original "Beta", and then the 2017 follow-up for my 1800, I can say with total certainty-that my box has a complex now. Multiple crashes, freezing/that repeatedly-requires the "Hard-Reset". All this, because I thought an update might improve my systems RAM management with the newer OS.  Boy was I mistaken. I'll be digging up the Original(Factory) files, and going back to Kit Kat. Box is useless to me if it keeps Freezing every 60 seconds. I find it odd though, that all these "Upgraded-Files" supposedly can be done via-USB(fat-32), but to load up the factory files, it  HAS to be SD-card?. To all those-still ironing out issues with these updates, good luck to you folks. My Wife is mad-enough at me already though, I'm-out.  Our box has to actually Work.

Downloaded the latest .img file from the support link, and I still can't get the firmware updated for my 2014 version of the ATV1800E. Keeps failing after  verifying the .img file, something about an invalid/incompatible "endpoint" (Error 7). I'll take a snapshot with my phone and post the message I'm getting. The bootloader looks like its pooched as well, as I can't load the old version, even after a factory reset. Followed instructions to a T, but to no avail. Remote still doesn't work, and have been using a USB mouse to navigate through boot options. Any ideas?

I am having problem unzipping the four files inside "update_MYGICA_S812_S802_Device_5.1_20170612" for my Mygica 1800E for the Android 5.1 upgrade.

They zip files are boot, bootloader, logo and recovery.  Since WinRar will not unzip these files, I use 7-zip but still getting errors saying there are some data after payload data.  How does everyone else unzip these files?  Appreciate if someone can let me know how to unzip these files.

You only have to extract all the files from the Zip folder

Just highlight all the files inside the zip file/folder

And extract them to your desktop, so you can then easily move them onto your SD card.
This can easily be done with Win RAR

I fixed this rom!!! (for the atv582 anyway)The OS freezes on and off and is extremely slow. It is not usable, UNLESS... YOU HAVE TO GO TO APPS AND DISABLE PLAY STORE AND PLAY SERVICES. Once done, this runs smoothly and made me really happy with performance and running KODI 19.4 really well. However, you need to download Kodi or any app onto a flash drive and install it via the update icon. Just select the apk file. So play store is not needed at all actually.

I have since downloaded the latest play store and IT STILL DOESNT WORK, so disabled again. I want to fix it, I cant enable the services without it making the atv582 freeze up and become slow and unusable.

Hopefully someone reading this gets help from my post and can help me back. Is there any other roms available for the 582. I heard you can use android TV lineage rom (android TV stock standard) on fire stick and perhaps would work on this...?

There is another  firmware 5.1 update for the 582 link below. does this also have the same play store issue and is it also Beta 5.1?
Apparently you can just get the ATV1900a firmware files and it works perfectly with that.
