  1. Don't install it because it's still in beta, take a look at this video:
  2. Looks like Geniatech canceled this new device, it's still appears in the website but not as an Android TV device certified by Google but as a regular Android Box.
  3. That' the problem, neither both options are working, Geniatech/MyGica must address this issues ASAP.
  4. Still, it doesn't work with the USB Burning Tool software.
  5. Oh the same firmware is posted in the FAQ link, OK, I didn't noticed it, sorry.
  6. Here is the original firmware, for those under the beta firmware where Netflix was working it should work by following the steps found in the FAQ link shared by @joels: https://mega.nz/#!4agVjYzY!ZaKW09xrGjaHvveNKRH1FMhoqqz7_-PlF-GIG5pgHQM
  7. The problem is not the USB burning tool software because I used it in the past with another device, the problem is the image file created by Geniatech not loading inside the program.
  8. What video formats?, what audio formats are inside those videos? What file manager are you using? I recommend using X-plore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore You can use the remote with it. The ATV495Max is a certified device by Google, so when you go to the Play Store and search for an app, you should see it in the search results, otherwise the app is still not available for Android TV or the developer blacklisted the device and that may be the reason why you don't see it in the search results. You should contact the developer if that's the case.
  9. Yes, you can sideload Netflix and watch it in SD but those instructions I provided are still not working because Geniatech still hasn't fix the issue with the image file not loading into USB Burning Tool, I'm still expecting for a reply after the email I sent, if you want you can send them another so they could see our interest in using this utility.

  12. The rolling out has been very slowly, I read Amazon has to whitelist every device one by one, they have to test the app on most of those devices to make sure it works correctly, nobody has confirmed the availability of the app on the Play Store as of yet so all we have to do is to wait.
  13. AMD Link now lets you stream your PC games to Android TV: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amd.link
  14. Yeah, it's been rolling out slowly, it should be available for everyone in a few days though.

  17. You're right and I'm going to contact Geniatech, they built it and said to be working with the USB Burning Tool, I'll let you know when they reply.
  18. You can use the following firmware to restore your device to its factory state but you need to use Amlogic USB burning tool, this firmware is the original 7.1 that came when you bought the device: Firmware link: https://mega.nz/#!4agVjYzY!ZaKW09xrGjaHvveNKRH1FMhoqqz7_-PlF-GIG5pgHQM Amlogic USB burning tool software: https://androiddatahost.com/wp-content/uploads/Amlogic_USB_Burning_Tool_v2.1.6.8.zip Instructions to burn the firmware:
  19. Netflix is not available in the original firmware, you have to keep in mind that the Netflix implementation in that beta firmware is not official so it surely will stop working at any moment, in a not so distant future, Netflix will work in more devices thanks to a certification program called "Hailstorm" started by themselves that will include more Amlogic devices like the 495Max. https://medium.com/@NetflixTechBlog/hailstorm-the-netflix-scaling-solution-over-android-tv-fd169366f828

  25. I don't think the problem is the remote but the android version that comes originally with the device (version 7.1), I believe this issues are gone when you get to upgrade the device to Android 9 Pie which is already available to download and install.
