  1. Thank you for your clear and prompt reply. You have answered my query in full!
  2. I currently own both a 1900ac and an 1800e. I applied the update to both boxes. On the 1900ac everything updated without any disruptions. On the 100 I had to pull the power just once then it finished the update. I had disconnected the ethernet on both during the firmware update. I applied the "root"update as well. However I did not install anything else from the Playstore to apply to the root update. A silly question if I may. I am just using both boxes strictly for Kodi. Does having root access benefit me in anyway when purely using both boxes for Kodi. I am not into gaming, and I do not use either boxes as a PC. I have also Uninstaller just about everything I could that is not required for Kodi. Can anyone enlighten me on why I would need root access in this instance. Thanks
  3. I understand where you are coming from. But there is a big difference between rooting your phone and third party add ons. There is nothing wrong with rooting your phone, it might just void your warranty, but there are really no legal issues in regards to this. But the main difference is it does not come with third party streaming sites which stream movies + tv shows + live tv channels. The issue about discussing it here is that our forum is to help with our products only. KODI does come installed on our box, but it is not our application and there are many uses for it but we just cannot talk about Third Party add ons that draw the line when it comes to being legal. Other brands like Minix and Gbox both don't allow KODI third party add on support, and they are in the exact same business as we are. Simply doing a google search for KODI Third Party add ons will lead you to a lot of the main sites that support this already. I am still looking into making a free for all section on this forum, just researching all of the legalities in regards to this, since it will be hosted on our site. Justin 3724 Tue Feb 11, 2014 11:27 amatv 1200 Thank you "Justin" for answering my post. I do apologize to the "Forum", as my post was out of line. I am fairly versed in the "kodi world", it's legalities as pertaining to third party addon's and so forth. My negative sounding post was not directed at "justin" or any other moderator on this forum. It was my frustration seeing a fellow forum member who was seeking kodi advise, and due to legalities, he was not, nor was I able to offer my assistance, because of these legalities. So, I am sorry for the pungent, condacending, and undeserved criticism I directed toward'sMygica. My 1800e is my "best" box, and I own a few different varieties:)
  4. My question is: If you buy a media box aks Mygica 1800. What is the purpose of consumer's buying one? Answer number 1. To run Kodi. However you have a forum to discuss what. You are not allowed to discuss addon's? What may I ask, should we discuss onhere. Every discussion with purpose is to run Kodi, Netflix. Is Netflix not a third party addon, as is Modbro, as is Shomi, as is Crackle etc. To tell someone they cannot ask for help with Kodi, is like selling a Mygica without a motherboard. It is time to get real, otherwise Mygica should stop selling their multitude of Android devices. If you are not using it for Kodi, what exactly are the majority of people using their boxes for? Do people not "root" their cell phones? And if they do, who cares? Same principle applies to 3rd party addon's. Let's be realistic here!
  5. You only can use 45 if you can find something that is put out in 4k, like maybe something you have on a USB stick/sd card, or a sample off youtube. There really is not much out in 4k yet. And if you wasted the money on a tv advertising 4k capability, well you kind of fell for the sales gimmick. It will be readily available a few years down the road tho.
  6. Hi. This firmware update is so flawed. Axios:Unplug the power. Leave SD card in. After a minute, plug power back in. Should work. However, lot's of things will not work as advertizes. Kodi may or may not show up. Didn't for me. Lots of people have black screen issues. Plus, many other defects. Justin said he TESTED it on 10 or more boxes, and he had no issues. Why do thousands of others have issues. I suggest to Justin, this firmware was not properly tested. We were used as test rabbit's. It is a lot of work to reset stuff after Mygica put's out a half working firmware. I suggest to those that have not done the upgrade, do not do it. It is flawed, big time! A real tester needs to tell the truth. It is FLAWED!
  7. I did the update last night. Had to power down after 1/2 hour as well for it to take. It did not override Gotham 13.2 and change it to Kodi. No noticeable change in Ethernet speed. No other advancement or improvements. I thought Justin said this had been "thoroughly tested". Why miss - inform us? So we become test rabbit's. Some valuable trust has been lost. I thought this was the firmware we had long "anticipated". And why not include a fix for "Bluetooth", that would be much more "anticipated". This firmware upgrade does basically "nothing". I would recommend to all, "Wait till it is done properly".
  8. Thank you. I saved for future reference!
  9. Hi Justin: I tried downloading the ATV 1800e user manual as well. That link no longer works! Can you email me the link for the manual and firmware updates as well? I tried different browser's as well. Perhaps you could update the links in the forum, so you don't have to do this on a regular basis. Appreciate your knowledgeable post's, as they are invaluable!
