  1. Did you set up first on the November firmware, and then updated without factory updates to March, July, Sept? That's what I had to do to make it work. I never tried a factory reset on the Sept FW as I didn't want to reset up.
  2. Yeah, that's an issue with the March firmware - I would either (1) go to the July update and see if that fixes it or if you want to stay on March (2) reflash the Nov '14 firmware, set up your box and then upgrade (not reset) to March - that should work as that is what I had to do in the past.
  3. LOL - I'm surprised no one is screaming for MarshMellow yet I have that on my phone (stock), but run Lolli on my tablet (custom ROM) and still have an old KitKat Custom Rom on my Nexus which is off in a desk somewhere. My OCD tendencies would have me update to latest if available, but agree with everyone else there's a few lagging issues that need to be fixed prior to moving a new Android version.
  4. Look in the discussion thread - should be an OTA this week for a firmware update, for 5.0 there should be a manual upload at some point soon according to @Justin.
  5. Just curious, is there something specific in Lollipop you are looking for? I pretty much only use my mygica for Kodi and am using latest from the playstore at this point.
  6. Yes we do Should be by the end of this month EOM fast approaching - any update on this Justin, or has it slid into November at this point?
  7. Took a bit but got the update on. Still had kodi 14.1 though. I actually uninstalled it, and then loaded 15. Still configuring, but what was supposed to be in the OTA?
  8. Been quiet lately - how do people feel in general over the latest BETA vs. the March release? Worth switching over? @Justin - couple of questions based on your last post which was pretty exciting: 1) Next release - will it sitll be OTA? And is it still 4.4 with Kodi 14.2? 2) Any ETA on the 5.0.x release, and I'm assuming that will have kodi 15. On Kodi - now that it is available on the play store - will the plan to be not to install it as a system app? I'm assuming it is as it won't get an update through the store (I have other devices where I sideloaded Kodi and it update automagically). Thanks, and again, appreciate all the work and feedback - love mygica device so much more based on the interactions through the forum.
  9. I had this issue as well, and posted a work around a few pages back. Essentially load the 11/-5 firmware which does a factory reset - and then do NOT factory reset and load the March firmware. You'll have to manually remove the old mygica store (you'll have 2 versions) and XBMC as its still hanging around when you do it this way.
  10. Did you factory reset between 11/05 and 03/31 - if so, don't do that
  11. @justin - any news on the OTA update with 14.2 and fixes to bus like play store not recognizing an internet connection?
  12. What version of kodi? And did you run the TV add-ons configuration wizard? I had this problem, happened mostly on SD videos (which is mostly what I watch for buffering reasons). Did a clean install and the problem went away, biggest difference was I left kodi at 14.1 and used the android configuration wizard and NOT the mygica option in TV add ons. Might be placebo but I wasnt going to try and reinvent the problem once everything was working.
  13. @justin - just FYI - I've never installed the beta version, but still had the log in issue on the playstore.
  14. What did you use to back up your xbmc data? I was using back up addon but it complained of different versions and I lost all my favourites.
  15. Something wacky going on if both of us were getting those no connection errors. I also tried wired and wireless to no avail. One of the fixes is to toggle airplane mode, but we don't have that mode on this box.
  16. I have kodi working again but using the version that came with the new update. When ever I factory reset I can't access the play store - says check your connection. Tried all the tricks, but won't stick. I then load the 11.05 update, log into playstore, don't wipe and load the new firmware. Then it works and I manually remove xbmc and the old mygica store. Everything seems ok but Genesis seems slow but I've seen other users complain about that as well on the kodi forums. So not the cleanest of updates but I'll leave as is for now and wait for the renewal OTA.
  17. Odd. Now in Kodi, most videos in 1 channel and Genesis are zoomed in and skewed to the right. This didn't happen before. Any ideas?
  18. Yeah - I agree - so I flashed 11/05 again, set it up minorly (just the settings, wifi BUT I did log into playstore) then flashed the new firmware. More or less OK - like others, XBMC was still there as well as 2 mygica stores. I installed Titanium Backup (own a copy) and uninstalled xbmc, kodi 14.1, and the older mygica store. I then manually installed kodi 14.2 Everything is 'ok' but noticed that sound wasn't working - just had to enable audio digital in the video settings on the custom mygica settings page. Also - didn't the new launcher have the weather on it or something? Nothing like that, I reverted to a third party launcher. Still testing - but now things seem to be pretty ok.
  19. Alrighty - so I installed from recovery - did a factory reset and flashed the IMG. Everything worked AOK at first glance. Loaded in, did the set up (wireless connection) - again all worked great. Added my google account now problem (through settings) BUT then PLAY keeps saying 'cannot access internet' - but internet works (i.e. browser). ALso, the mygica store just crashes whenever I click the app. Any troubleshooting tips for this? Right now I'm re-flashing 11/05 via recovery, going to boot in and use the upgrade application to reflash the new firmware.
