Need help with ATV 500x upgrade

Hi, I just purchased 3 ATV500x's with Frodo build. I would like to upgrade them to the current Helix build. Is there a "step by step" for this process and is there anything else I need to do before to prepare the box for the upgrade? I have seen the Geniatech and the Helix instructions on the kodi forum but not sure if those are the correct steps for this box. Just needs a push in the right direction. Thanks
