Ok let me know

You need to install that firmware first and then the patch file.

The next version will be firmware only, and have the patch file built into it

Hi Justin,

I installed the update then the patch and all seems fine, have Ethernet is working, power off button and clear cache is there :)

Not bad at all for a beta version, working fine for me, little sugish at times with remote movements few apps missing but all good.

Can't wait to try the full release, thank you.

Good to hear

Please note though, there is only a few minor differences on the Full Beta release.

Mainly being the patch file is built in, and some screensaver issue.

Updated to the latest new Beta Firmware release today and all went smoothly.

Performance is way better than the last Beta patch version, player is smoother, can't wait for the Stable version.

Need to have a few apps return in the stable version would be great to see again.

1: Advance Task Killer

2: Quick Boot  with root access.

Found the built in explorer is still slow loading for some reason and boots you out to the main menu now and then and I am using hard cable not WiFi.

Kodi 17.3 seems fine, loads fast still clumpy in graphics on first load then fine after that.

Some times kodi spits you out back to the main menu but not as bad as before.

Hope some of this helps.

Just one more note:

Oh I forgot to mention the video player built into android 5.1.1  say's it is depreciated, please update it, thanks

New Bugs started in latest beta version.

Random reboots on it's own now.

Ethernet stops working for no apparent reason after random reboots.

Built in explorer struggles to stay going and boots you back to home page or just closes off.

Kodi also randomly closes bank to home page.

Remote struggles to move to next icon, stutters in myGica homepage, not smooth anymore.

When using the menu to typing getting the letters in caps doesn't work with the builtin keyboard menu

Not sure what you are referring when you say Built in Explorer?

Hi Justin,

That would be the Browser in MyGica otherwise known as Explorer 9_9

I took a pic from my user manual pdf file so you can see what I mean, the pic is Kitkat 4 but I am using Lollipop 5.1.1, it's just to show what I mean.

What Model # are you using?

Also have you tried
Chrome Browser
Firefox

Or any other Web Browser from the Playstore to see if you have the same issue.

Hi Justin,

Yes I did try them also and they also do the same thing on a ATV582

I am aware the Playstore has them and other browers, however when I got into the playstore it kicks you out also just like the browser does.

I have tried fully restoring it back to to factory settings and the KitKat is very fast and responsive, however it won't run Kodi 17

That's why I upgraded to the latest Beta version which has bugs.

Waiting on a Patch to the bugs everyone is posting.

Fix it being so slow and sluggish would be a start.

I cannot reproduce this Browser issue you are referring to.

And the sluggish start is on the 380/582 models as they only have 1GB Ram, we cannot fix this.

So far bugs I am looking to fix.

1. Wifi wont auto connect after coming out of standby
2. Cannot use Caps on the on screen keyboard
3. Cannot Install "Google Now" App.

- Auto closing apps and auto reboots is something that we cannot reproduce on any units we try.

We will try and fix what we find and what is reported.
But as I said before, certain things cannot be fixed due to no support on the OS version anymore from Amlogic.

Always remember, this is Beta FW and will never be official firmware, so it is not going to be perfect.

To update on this.

2. I found this issue only when using the D-Pad arrows on a KR41 Remote, if you use the back of the remote which is the QWERTY Keyboard, everything works fine.
Will see if we can still fix this issue though

I tried a KR20 and KR60 Remote and the on screen keyboard functioned fine.

3. This is because we pre install google search already.  You cant install both.
