ATV585 w/ Sharp AQUOS - TV loses controls?

Hello All,

Newbie here. My hubby wants to return our new toy because it seems to take over the controls of our TV? After the box is on for a while we can't turn off our TV. A few mornings we were unable to turn the TV on without unplugging the TV first.

I don't mind unplugging it but will my TV get a surge if I unplug it from the wall rather using controls?

Is this a firmware issue that will have a fix?

Wait for our next firmware

We have fixed a lot of issues relating to there being problems with HDMI either turning off the TV or not being able to control it.
