Google Cast Receiver

i was under the impression that the ATV1800 was a google certified device...

With that said why is the Google Cast Receiver not available?

I would like to be able to cast from my phone or tablet to the ATV1800.

In the box you can't add that total hardware, but you can use Miracast to mirror your phone to yourTV, and yes we are authorized with Google Play Store

The version of Android 5.0.2 that I am currently testing on the ATV 1800E has Chromecast Receiver built into the OS. Will be very cool once we have it ready.

im looking forward to this next update.... i have found the March 31st update to have alot of bugs. Not that its un useable i just find that each update to get better

do not worry, we are working on bug fixes as we speak and i am sure it will be corrected,
