This is an older model but with the extra's seems like a good deal for a first box. It says WIFI only. Does this mean it won't accept an Ethernet wire?

yes, it means that.

if you look at the 3rd and 4th pictures on the website, you will see all four sides of the device

there are 4 usb ports, 1 hdmi port, 1 tf port and 1 dc power port ... no ethernet port

you may still be able to use an ethernet dongle that plugs into a usb port though, but, at this time, i do not know which one would work

Now the offer does not include the little keyboard. I missed the boat and will pick up a newer model that goes on sale at Computer Canada instead.
