yes you can use the older software, and normally just update remember that nothing will be staying its total reprogramming back to older OS

Well 4.4.2 is the OS version which we have always been using for the 1800/582/380/585/586

Did you manually install this new firmware?

Or did you take an OTA update straight to the box?
