ATV 1800/582/380 PATCH FILE FOR HDMI BLACKOUT ISSUE

Recommended Posts

This is Patch File that is supposed to fix the issue where your TV Screen is black after having your MyGica coming out of Standby mode, or you switched HDMI inputs on your TV and went back to the MyGica.

This only seems to happen on certain brands of TV's

You can install this manually through the Upgrade app.

Please make sure to extract the IMG file from the zip folder I have put it into.

If file does not appear, press the 3 lined context menu button 10+ times it should appear.

**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR ANDROID 4.4 ONLY**

This will work for ATV 1800/582/380

Please report if it works or not in this exact thread.

As I need some feedback on this since none of the TV's I have here give me this issue.

Thanks

Justin

Hi Justin, I have this issue only when Kodi was open. Does that count? Or does this happen without it on Android itself?

This happens on Android Itself.

Which would include KODI as well.

Unless you mean KODI opens to a black screen when you launch the app?

Hi Justin, no worries then. I have applied the fix as I only had this on Kodi. When you still have Kodi open and power down on the remote. When switching it back on later it shows a black to flickering screen. However, there is a Bug log for this on Kodi. Thanks.

Hey Justin,

I have had problems while watching programs on Kodi 15.2 and all of a sudden the screen would go blank. This has happened on a number of occasions. Since installing the patch file I've had NO blackouts. I have the MyGica 582 and hopefully your patch has solved the problem. I will post again if the blackouts resume.

We will include this patch in next Firmware update then.

Seems it has worked for the majority of people that tried it.

Will still try to solve those of you still having issues.
