Factory Reset the ATV1900

Recommended Posts

I've never worked with a 1900 but I have reset/restored/owned 1200s, 582, 380s, and I just updated to 20151201 an 1800 and they were all the same.

Menu-settings-more settings

You should have a black screen with white words down the left.

All the way down to the bottom left is "factory reset" (or something like that, I'm not near my box)

From there it's pretty well self explanatory. You should end up with the exact same box you bought.

So guy's,

What do I do next, is there nobody that can give me an helpful answer?

Answering my question would be nice.

Is there not a "quick boot" option on the 1900? I don't have one, that's why I asked the question.

You can download the Quickboot app from the Google Play Store

From there you can enter Recovery Screen.

The 1900 does not come with it pre installed.

OR

Just unplug power, hold down reset button with toothpick, plug power back in, wait until lollipop logo appears, release reset button and wait.

It takes a few minutes but it will boot up to recovery screen.
