upgraded ATV1200 KR34 on a KR60 unit

Recommended Posts

Hi Justin,

Thanks so much for your detailed instructions for the upgrades.

I have a KR60 box which I wanted to upgrade to 4.2.2 Unfortunately, I made a mistake and used the KR34 files instead of the KR60.

I got the upgrade completed and everything is working properly. I figured out that the remote is not functioning anymore.

I want to go back to the KR60 one.

I have download the new KR60 file, put it on the SD but when I do 'local upgrade' the machine does not 'see' this file.

What is the best way to get this upgrade to work?

Thanks.

Have you tried installing it through the Android Recovery screen?

No I did not. How do I get to the recovery screen?

Is that the same as Hard/soft reset?

Thanks.

You can get to recovery screen, by pressing the reset button on the back of the ATV 1200 for about 15-20 seconds after you plug in the power.

Or you can install an app from the Google Play Store called "QUICK BOOT"

It gives you the option to reboot into recovery mode
