Black screen on start-up and blinking middle light.

Hi, I have an ATV582, and it won't start. When I plug it in, the TV registers a HDMI input source, but the screen is blank. The middle of the 3 lights on the front of the unit also repeatedly flashes. I thought it was a corrupt firmware and tried to reinstall the firmware using the SD card and reset button method but that got me nowhere. Please help!

What color is the light on the front of the box that is flashing repeatedly?

Ok this sounds like 2 things

1. Bad Power Supply

Does your power supply have a small led light on it.

If so, does it go dim or blink when the box is plugged in?

2. There is an issue with the box itself

When and where did you purchase the box from?

hi, yes, the power supply has green led light and that also blinks when the box is plugged in. thank you

If the power supply light blinks when plugged in, then there is definitely an issue with your box.
