no sound with cable tv

had the atv586 couple weeks. hooked up cable, scanned for channels.

found channels fine, but no sound.

checked volume settings. OK.

rebooted unit, with no effect.

cable works fine when connected to TV.

suggestions?

In the settings menu on the main screen, can you go into Advanced.

Select Digital Audio Output, and make sure it is set to PCM and HDMI.

I have a feeling you have it set to SPDIF.

that worked. looked for that setting earlier. couldnt find it. ugg.

now set to pcm.

could only select one. i.e. pcm or hdmi passthru, not both.

now i have to figure how to edit channels.

I just wrote a simple code to test if opk works only on enemy if I check teamnumber, it usully works with infinite health & one shot kill but that dosnt with teleporting. Its effect both player and enemy. What am I missing here.
