ATV 586 will not run add-ons

For no apparent reason, about 5 days ago my ATV 586 will not run add-ons. I click on Kodi, it opens up, but can't edit profile or run system, when I go to video add-ons and click on an add-on, the wheel spins and spins and then the it freezes. I have tried doing a firmware update, but it says, update already installed? Have unplugged it etc ... Any suggestons?

What version of KODI are you running?

You are running a newer version

16.1 is the latest

Sounds like you just need to re-do KODI is all

Try either to "Clear Data" of KODI by going into the apps section of the Android Settings.

Locate KODI and there is a CLEAR DATA option

Then re-open KODI for the 1st time and let it do a first time setup.

If you ever need to just redo KODI and want to avoid a Factory reset.

Just finding the app under the APPS section of the native settings in Android

There is a CLEAR DATA option.

This will delete everything within KODI and next time you open it, it is like opening the app for the first time.
