MyGica ATV1800E No Digital Sound

Hello,

I currently have an ATV1800E box and was using it thru an HDMI switch to my TV along with an AppleTV, a Bell Cable Box and a Wii U. Everything was fine except the TV sound because the speakers were starting to go so I could hear the TV speakers rattling a bit. Unfortunately, the TV has a feature that disables the optical cable when you use an HDMI cable, so I had to buy a MuxLab Prodigital HDMI to HDMI Audio Extraction adapter. Basically, you send the HDMI cable thru this device then to the TV. It has both an HDMI out, as well as an optical cable out.

I now get fantastic digital audio when I use any of the other devices attached to the same HDMI switch and thru the MuxLab adapter, but for some reason the MyGica ATV1800E only plays thru the lousy TV speakers. Obviously (since all other devices are working perfectly), this has something to do with a setting in the MyGica box. I have tried all of the fixes suggested on YouTube but none work.

Can you suggest anything?
