ATV 582 dead black screen

when trying to do software update box froze. reboot will not boot period. cannot get in to recovery using factory files and reset button. all i get is the solid blue light and nothing happens. the the amount of money spent on these boxes we should not have these types of problems. the factory files txt states there should be a dd.exe which isnt in the zip file. is that needed.? any suggestion?

if blue light and not blinking and no picture on the screen, my friend you have bricked your box. and no revival

My gica just give a blue light did try to reload factory software with micro sd by holding the reset button nithing is happening only blue light cones on on hdmi show black screen 1280x 600and 60hz.. You can even hold the reset it the device keeps staying on
