Remote Control

1 month old MyGica box and remote. Brand new in box. Remote stopped working this evening. New batteries dont help it.  

Anyone have tips to fix?  Any universal remote I can buy/use instead?

Are lights blinking on the remote when you try to use it?

Or is it completely dead?

Middle blue light blinks when I press any buttons.  But nothing happens.  

Actually, the ONLY thing that does work is when I press the mouse button in top right and try to slide the cursor anywhere.  In this situation, it moves but E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y slow.  Would takes minutes for the cursor to go from one side of screen to the other.  Everything else does nothing.
