747pilot 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2017 Ethernet disconnected after router restart Hi, I've noticed that Ethernet doesn't reconnect automatically after router restart: My device is connected via ethernet port instead of wi-fi. The problem is that every time my router is restarted, the device doesn't reconnect automatically to the network. What I have to do in this case is go to Settings=>Network=>Ethernet (the status is "not connected" at this point)=>Ethernet Device and switch from "ON" to "Off" and back to "ON" again. After that the device gets connected. Again, this needs to be done every time after router restart. Please fix it, as it has to reconnect automatically. Thank you. Ok I have reproduced this myself Will get it fixed. But just wondering, why are you rebooting your Wifi Router so much?

There are many reasons, also sometimes I have to do it remotely and the Tv box becomes not accessable. Thanks.
Spinnersp 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 I notice this also happens when I try to set static ip. I have to turn ethernet device off/on. I'm not quite sure, but I think this happened only after I applied the root patch.

And we have been trying to fix this issue here with our engineers, but after going through 15 different routers we cannot reproduce it. I was only able to reproduce it on my personal Router/Modem I get from my cable internet provider.

747pilot 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2017 This is still not fixed in the latest firmware update from March 24th. Could you please confirm that it will be fixed in the next update?

It is very tough to reproduce as we were only able to reproduce it on Hybrid Modem/Routers. Our engineers do not have these, so that is why its been tough to fix so far.
