Screen is frozen

I set up a new box as a gift for my dad and when he went to set it  up on his TV it wouldn't go past the MyGica screen.  When I tried it did the same thing and froze on the MyGica logo screen.  I've tried unplugging it, resetting it, but nothing seems to be working.  What am I doing wrong?

my friend, you are not doing anything wrong, frozen screen means something went wrong while setting up the firmware. 

 

but it is easy to fix, can you tell me which model of MyGica unit you carry, so  I could give you step by step guide?
