atv586 keyboard not working

I don't know if this is a common problem, but when I first installed mygica atv586, i was able to type things in the google bar, the internet bar, etc to 

get apps, search  for things, and now, I no longer have the keyboard, where I can type what I am looking for.  Is there someone that can help me with this?  I bought

2 of these boxes.  One works, and the other doesnt.

use the remote from one that works on the one that do not work, let me know if it works 

that way we could determine if it is the remote or just box itself.
