Choppy Video -- Kodi 17.0 & 17.1?

Hey,

So w while back before we were all forced to upgrade, I tested out Kodi 17 but had a real big issue of the video playback being choppy, etc.  It wasn't a buffer issue as it was buffering fine, it even did it on downloaded local video's...  Couldn't figure it out,  so I just went back to the older 16 version and everything was perfect...  Until recently now..

Now that we must use Kodi 17 or 17.1,  I'm facing this issue yet again,  and have not been able to figure it out...  Doesn't seem to matter the addon I use, etc.  The video is simply choppy..  to the point we can't watch it...

Can someone assist?  There's obviously a problem in how Kodi 17 process's the video files, that the MyGica 1800 doesn't like...  but I would hope there's a fix out there...

Thanks,

For those using 1800E with 17.2 or 3 is it still choppy?

I reverted back to 16.1 but see the security issue everywhere but 17 was really choppy

Any update/experience on 17.3

Have you tried our newer version of 5.1 for the 1800?

Kodi 17.3 works great for myself.

I see, so installed it, but even the UI seems choppy. Kodi, tried with 1 vid, seems choppy too not as smooth as 16.1

We are running multiple 1800s here at the office with the same 5.1 FW
UI runs fine, and tried 1080P videos on Kodi that had smooth playback.

Justin, I wanna reinstall it , whats the best way to factory default and install, Most installs so far die while upgrading and it takes few tries b4 it finishes

Works well for me using a USB and the Upgrade app.

I have had it freeze on the Android Robot sometimes when upgrading, but I just unplugged the power and plugged it back in and then it finished the download.

Be patient though, once at the MyGica boot-up screen it can take awhile to go into the main Android screen.
