ATV585 NO PICTURE AFTER UPGRADE

I recently performed an upgrade to my atv585 and during the process, the screen went black and I have not been able to "see" anything on the screen since. The green power light stays on and I cannot see what mode the box is in. I have tried the upgrade button underneath and holding this with power cord being put in - nothing happens. I recently tried the amlogic burning tool but cannot get past the point where i install the image file and get "parse burning image fail."

The unit is about 2 years old and out of warranty and no local agents in South Africa?

Looking forward to receiving any help!

In reference to the above, I am led to believe that I need just the image file and not the zip file, can anyone help with this please?
