Updating 1800 to android 5.1 vs myfork version

Since now kodi  needs 17.3 because if the virus that is out

so I was going to update my mygica 1800to  to 5.1 and then install kodi  17.3 is there any issues with the Android 5.1 on the mygica 1800 or is it better to use the fork version but that is only at kodyi17

If you are just looking to run KODI 17.3 on your 1800E using Android 5.1
Then there will be no issues for you when using it.

Except Netflix won't work and the 1800e won't turn back on when it hibernates.

You can update the Netflix app from the MyGica Store
Just do a search for it in there
After this it should work again.

Not being able to turn back on after coming out of standby mode on the 1800e is something that is become very hard to fix on 5.1
For now we just suggest you keep the box always ON.
