ATV1220 Firmware upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I have and ATV1220 from geniatech and I'd like to update it using your new firmwares.

This device can be updated with ATV1200 firmwares but I'll lost my built-in TDT receiver (I did this kind of update months ago without problem, but I installed back TDT firmware).

Is there anyway to extract files from previous versions and add them to your new firmwares to make TDT works?

If you teach me the way I could try to do it myself...

Thank you, and congratulations for your great job.

Which version of the ATV 1220 do you have, the ATSC version, or the DVB-T/T2 Version?

Only the DVB-T/T2 version has been released to the market under the Mygica name right now

Let me know, so I can help you better.

I have the DVB-T version (I'm Spanish and we use DVB-T standard).

I wrote TDT instead of DVB above. Sorry about that :-P

But my IR remote is not the same as Mygica ATV1220 version. Mine looks simpler. According to ATV1200 upgrade instructions, mine looks like a KR34 model (small, with grey and round buttons).

Thank you for you support.

Here is a link to download the latest firmware for your ATV 1220-DVBT/T2

Since we are in North America, we are unable to use this model here, as we are on the ATSC Signal, so therefore I am limited on what I can help you with.

Mediatech published an android 4.2.2 so I'll try first that version.

If you're interested in that file, it is available here:

http://www.geniatech.com/down-eng/4.2AT ... 140121.zip

It has different DVB apks than migyca's firmware, and they have the same name than my previous version (android 4.1). According to the instructions it can update 4.1 to 4.2.2 directly.

I'll post the results once done :)

I've finally installed a beta version of android 4.2.2. that includes DVB apks ant it runs great and was published by mediatech. It doesn't include xbmc, play store or launchers, but that can be installed.

Thank you for your help and if you need more information about this device or version, now I'm here to help too :)

Hi,..

I've follow the suggested link to download the latest firmware,

"Here is a link to download the latest firmware for your ATV 1220-DVBT/T2

http://mygica.com/html/Support/

"which provide me with :

SPI: http://mygica.com/download/Software/upd ... 140410.img

Firmware: http://mygica.com/download/Software/MyG ... 140919.zip

the SPI link downloaded successfully

But the firmware, always failed with very slow download speed.

Could you provide me with another link?

And how to check the current firmware version?

Thank you

I was able to download the update from mygica.com

I have uploaded it here for you, so it should be a faster download and work. This is just the Firmware file, and not the SPI File.

If you want to check the version you have, just go into the 'Settings" menu and "About"

Usually there is a date within the build #
