ATV 495 PRO HDR ATVxperience v2H firmware AndroidTV

For those who prefer the AndroidTV interface, ATVxperience v2H works perfectly on the ATV 495 Pro HDR.

You can download it here.

You'll need to use the AMLogic Burning Tool and a USB A to A cable.

The guys over at ATVxperience have a handy Youtube video showing the process.  Plug your A-A USB cable in the USB port nearest the back of the box (next to the power connection).  Open up AMLogic Burning Tool, load the .img file.  Once loaded, click START.

Those sneaky guys at MyGica didn't provide the ATV495 Pro HDR with a reset button, so to get into update mode there are a few ways, but the easiest is to download Terminal Emulator on your ATV 495 and install.  Open the app and type reboot update

Once it reboots, you should hear the USB connection sound on your PC and it'll flash the image.  Once it's at 100% and green, unplug the USB and power.  Plug power back in and give it about 5 minutes to boot the first time.

Welcome to AndroidTV 7.1!

Hi there, this is interesting and we’ll have to check it out.

I’ll mention though, we weren’t being sneaky, the power button on the unit is the reset button. Simply hold it down while powering it up to do the same effect.

The ATVXperience firmware is rock solid.  It works great on the box where the 7.1.2 upgrade would lock up often.

To have the wireless connection and the remote work properly we need the files from the stock ATV 495 PRO HDR firmware.  Is there a chance you could post this or otherwise arrange to transfer the files?

Are you referring to the Remote Config files?

And if so, for which remotes exactly?

As for the wireless connection, that box uses the AP 6255 Wifi Module
So they would just need to make sure the drivers are included on the FW for it to work.

Yes the remote.conf file.  It appears to be the KR41. The power button does not work.

I can followup with the ATVXperience devs in regards the wifi.  Hard wired works fine.

Thanks!

The KR 41 power button is basically the KR 60 Power button in the Remote Config file.
As power on/off is done via IR Signal.

Hardwired would always work generally, as no drivers are really required for it.
