1800e TV Antenna

Does mygica have an app to access channels on a mygica box through a tv antenna? Or do you know how this works?

This is the item I'm getting and want to be able to access the over the air channels through the mygica operating system via the usb connector to the  antenna.

That antenna you posted is supposed to connect to a TV Tuner

The 1800E does not have a TV Tuner
Most TVs have one built in and you can just scan the channels directly onto the TV using the TVs menus

If you want to use it on the 1800E directly
Then I would suggest getting something like HD Home Run or Tablo
These are standalone devices that will broadcast the Antenna Signal over your Home Network to apps/devices
They both have Android apps that should work on the 1800e.

And is this app made by you guys? Does it work?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Pad.tvapp&hl=en

This product

Works but is meant to be used mainly on Windows Computers

This app is made by Geniatech, which also owns MyGica

It is a mobile app that works with the PAD TV Tuner.

I did some research and spoke with hd homerun. They said they've had problems with their software working on android boxes that shipped out on android 4.4 and had firmware updates to 5.1 with both their app and kodi addon. Has this been true with the 1800e?

Also to stream ota tv you need a consistent speed on the android box of at least 20mbps. Mine average at around 15-30mbs on the 5ghz network. Do you know of any usb adapter I can attach to the 1800e to make it ac internet compatible to work at a higher more reliable internet speed?

HD Homerun runs over your home network, so those speeds are different then the download speeds from your internet provider.

I don't know of any USB adapter that would work with the 1800E
For the best speeds, i'd suggest ethernet
You should look at some Powerline Adapters if you cant run an Ethernet cable directly from your router to the box.

Tablo would probably be a better option for OTA Channels on the 1800E, vs the HD Homerun, as they trans code the  channels to a lower compression rate, you can adjust it from 500KBPS to 5MBPS I think
