Change the dam XBMC Icon to KODI on favourites

This has to be something you can do! I updated to KODI and uninstalled XBMC. How do I change the icon on that favorites bar midway up the home screen?

This XBMC icon is built into the Launcher design.

There is no way you can change this.

You can always use a different launcher, to customize your desktop.

I have suggested to update the MyGica Launcher for a new KODI icon though. Once I have it, I will post it in the download section

I will.

For now I have just got them making a patch file for the remote button.

Changes to the launcher icon I think will take some time as they are busy with lots of stuff I have them doing.

is it possible to leave with android 4.1 (component output-old hd tv in my room) and have a firmware update to have kodi instead of xbmc to the launcher panel.

I wouldn't do that. Pretty sure that will brick the unit. Make sure you do the proper update to 4.2 before you put the firmware with Kodi on the desktop on there.

We only have updates for Android 4.2, so unless you want to upgrade to 4.2 to use this new firmware then you will have to stick with using 4.1

You can always install a different launcher to replace the one you are currently using.
