atv 582 buffering

Recommended Posts

The XBMC cache isn't very big, about 20 meg. That's about a minute or two. Buffering issues in XBMC are generally a result of the source. Don't forget, 300 kps is equal to a 1.6 gig movie that's 90 minutes long. You can make the cache bigger but it's a pain...

How do you make the cache bigger ? Is it through advancedsettings file ?

I known mygica has tweaked the version of xbmc to work with 4k, wondering if it would make sense to have the xbmc tweaked with a default advancedsettings file which takes in to account the amount of ram available on the box, to maximize performance and minimize the cache full messages.

My 2 cents.

Yes I have asked our guys to give our version of XBMC more cache space in regards to buffering.

They tell me it will be improved in Kodi. Which we plan to release our MyGica edition of Kodi this month.

hi, is it possible to set to cache to sdcard or memory stick

Try searching google for steps to setting up the Zero Cache feature on KODI.

I usually hold down the menu button on the remote to clear all of the memory on the box.

This helps clear up cache problems generally.
