495 Max

My 495 Max worked fine last night and when i put it on the morning it just freezes in home screen. Did switch it off by the wall several times and stil nothing and freezing when i switch it on.

Exactly the same happened to me. This morning it just stay stuck on Home Screen while preparing recommendations.

Experiencing the same issue this morning. (South Africa)

Box was working fine, watching Youtube, Then the box froze. tried everything, even factory reset. Then had difficulty starting the box again. Struggled to get past the language page and pairing the remote. Not long the the box hangs. Cannot do anything with it.

I sent a mail to MyGica Support as well. Let's see if they respond.

I called their office but phone just rings...

I had the same porblem this morning.

I sent an e-mail to Syntec Support. They are the distributors in SA. Senior Technician replied: If the unit stucks on the loading screen the firmware is corrupted we will need to reflash the unit for you. 

 

I asked what REFLASH means. Will keep you posted.

This is the reply I received from Syntec:

The firmware will need to be reloaded it looks like android did a OTA and this caused the unit to freeze. We had about 5 cases this morning only way to fix this is to reflash the unit (reload original firmware)

 

I asked whether there is a way to reload it myself.

My biggest issue is YouTube is constantly freezing.
