FolderMount

Recommended Posts

One of the best surprises of the ATV380 (and I assume the 582), is the fact it's already rooted. I was running out of room because of the mere 4GB of internal memory and XBMC/Kodi takes up a lot of space. So I installed FolderMount https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=en after trying a few others. Make sure you install SuperSU as well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu&hl=en and then you can move the whole folder to the SD Card (I keep a 32GB connected). Keep in mind it can take about 5 minutes for FolderMount to "engage" after a boot and load Kodi from the card, otherwise Kodi will load empty.

Thanks for the advice.

To clarify, the 380 and 582 is actually 8GB internal memory. But the OS and pre installed apps takes about 3GB, so you should be left with 5GB of space.
