  1. For me everything is working :

    1. Sound out of sync with official kodi 15 is gone, now everything is fine

    2. Tried Hdmi passthrough dolby 5.1 and dts is working activated it in expert settings of kodi if someone needs help I will be glad to help you.

    1. First you need to activate in settingmbox digital audio detection

    2. In kodi system->settings->system->audio output (settings level Expert ) activate enable passthrough)

For me there is only one issue about net led which is not blinking on network activity but I can live without it.

    Thanks mygica team.

    Regards.

I did these steps. In Kodi enabled Passthrough and I guess I dont have to touch the 2.0 or 5.1 option in audio settings once Passthrough is enabled ? But the sound doesnt feel 5.1 to me. I have tried multiple videos and it sounds 2.0 instead of dolby 5.1 ? Anyone have idea why is that ? Is this firmware handling 5.1 at all ?

Did anyone also noticed that after standby the HDMI blackout issue sis till there, but in a different way though. Nothing works on the screen in Kodi after a standby and have to exit out of it back to Home and then restart Kodi ?

After installing new beta FW for 582, my Migica lost sound. I did factory reset after installing firmware, but sound is only for first minute or two. After that, I change hdmi cable, then change hdmi output on tv, but sound is gone...:(..Another firmware that sucks!!!!

    Home Screen -> Settings -> Display -> Advanced ->

Digital Audio Output (at the bottom of the screen)

    Select HDMI "Passthrough"

I have the same issue. Sound is no more. I dont think I can change that HDMI passthrough option as its dimmed ? How to fix sound problem ?

Also when the sound goes, all video playback in Kodi starts stuttering. I cant do anything, cant playback any video and have to do factory reset. which is a complete waste of time.

How do I fix these 2 issues. 1) sound stops working and 2) video playback goes jerky ??

I am really at a point of frustration as I have 2 Mygica devices (both have become a complete headache) and have to listen to family everyday about issues. :x:x:x

I noticed one more thing. In Kodi under System settings if audio is set to 5.1 from the default 2.0 I get video stuttering and the audio goes out. Why is that ? In March version (XBMC version) this problem wasnt there, I verified.

So are we suppose to get audio in 2.0 only with these firmware release ?

I tried factory reset and it did the same thing again after a few minutes of usage. Have to take power cable out. I will do a third time factory reset. Also noticing blank screen problem that others reported, when switching HDMI connection back to it (using a HDMI receiver). Sometimes after standby I dont get the screen back and have to do hard power cycle.

These issues are really annoying. Hoping to hear back from Justin and in the meantime anyone else has suggestion please feel free to add.

:evil: I so I did factory reset and video worked for a day or so. After that it was back to video stuttering badly and not watchable. I did a reset again and it works for a day or so. This is really frustrating and buggy update. I had to do this because wanted to go with Kodi, otherwise 2014 update was just fine.

HDMI blackout and blinking issue remains. When power on the unit after standby video either is blackout or would start flickering. Kids use this to watch cartoons and they are really annoying me why its not working :oops: .

I bought 2 mygica units and both are now unusable. I should have kept my old stupid media player. Atleast fix the video stuttering asap.:evil:

The fact you have 2 units with the same issue makes me believe the 2 Mygicas might not be the problem.

A defective unit can happen but 2 the same time? Highly unlikely IMHO.

What sources are you watching? What format? What / how many apps you have installed?

What player are you using for those files? The built in MyGica Kodi app? How about MX Player?

Can you test with the official stable Kodi? Can you test with SPMC?

Have you tried with different format video files just to get a more complete picture of the possible issue?

If you are playing the video files from the internet or a network location, can you try with the same video files on a USB stick or USB HDD?

Don't be upset... we'll sort it out!

The setup is same as before when I had last 2014 update. Havent had any issue in almost 6 months but now after the update. All videos are played from NAS server over Ethernet.

The flickering problem is not actually due to the type of media. Right when it comes back from standby it starts flickering or goes black. Switching receiver (Sony) inputs doesnt fix it. Only have to reboot mygica.

Video stuttering happens in Kodi and Youtube. Those are the only two apps on it (other than 4k video App) and that we use. After doing factory reset it starts working ok, with every video plays smooth including Youtube. Going through a few standby cycles I am noticing the problem comes back and videos start stuttering. I may actually post a video of this.

  7. Hi Justin..

I updated to this firmware from 1105 and almost at 75% of the update it hung. Android stopped spinning and the update hanged.

I took cable out and put back and it started update again and finished. After that there was no Kodi installed and I did as suggested, a factory reset. That bring back Kodi but now I have lots of video related issues. When playing any video after a couple of minutes it starts stuttering and video goes extremely jerky. This happens with any video over the network or running Youtube app in Kodi. All videos are stuttering.

I try to exit out of Kodi and screen goes black. I hit home button on remote and I can go back to home and launch Kodi again but now Kodi screen is blank and it seems its not starting. At this point nothing else can be done with Kodi and I have to take power cable out. After a few minutes same thing happens in Kodi and in Youtube. Dont know about other apps as I only tried these two, mainly using for videos

    Any suggestions ?

Anyone else having this or similar issue ?
