Put onto SD card and then plug into box

Open up Upgrade app on box, and select Local Update

If the update does not appear, then press the 3 lined menu button 10+ times it should then appear.

Once you see the update, click on it and you can press OK to install it.

Thank you Justin, device successfully patched! I will test it and post a feedback later, in a few days.

Just to recap my ATV1900AC bugs:
    - Loose AC connector, its a physical issue, I need to open the shell and provide a soldering job, need instructions about how to disassemble it, just unscrew the 4 screws is not  enough, the shell looks sealed.
    - Black screen after wake up, need to hard reset the device our unplug-replug HDMI connector to get image back to TV;
    - Image flickering/glitches/noise/bumps/jumps, aleatory behaviour.
    - audio failures: no sound/mute times, aleatory behaviour.
    Looks like HDMI out failure.
    - Google main app won't install in 5.1, I don't know why , fails from Android Playstore and .apk file too. error message: "this app cant be installed on this device".

    thank you again.

  2. Well, my 1900ac unit comes alive again (new nick "zoombie box") and I found this:

My main HDMI cable do not work anymore, just the black screen.
Spare HDMI cable works, sometimes flickering the image and bleeps/jumps the audio (from video files), sometimes runs ok.
Both cables was ok when running stock firmware, with no image/audio issues at all.

    Strange behavior.

  3. More info about black screen issue from my unit.

The last time the box worked it was running Kodi,  the movie finished then I clicked on the "home" RC button and then on the power button, the unit sleeps, entered in standby mode so I turned off the TV.
The next day I turned on the TV,  tried the power from MyGica RC the red led turns green but no HDMI signal at all, tried a few more times with remote and front pannel button with no lucky, tried a hard power down (power cord) but stills this way, no video signal.

I dont know if Kodi was still running when unit entered in stand by mode.
I dont know if Kodi changes some video configs to work and then the unit fails to undo it before HDMI shuts down.

    Guys,

If you can record a video of this happening and try to show the front of the units while this is going on. This will help a lot showing the engineers. We are trying to duplicate this issue on every tv we can get our hands on, to no avail.

There is not much to show besides what has already been described however I did a video showing what happens here. Sorry about low light and crap cell phone footage.
If I am doing something wrong or if you want me to precede it in some specific way please tell me.

Ok..found an issue with the new 5.1 ...My 5.1 unit has a black screen when it  comes out of standby...when i put it in standby..turn off the tv...start the tv back up..and turn on the box again..only black screen...(or the tv says no source)..i tried bring it down to 720 resolution ..too see if that helped....didnt... MyGicaSupport...you asked for a vid.of the issue before...not sure i can post vids..but hope this was enough info too help..

This is exactly what happens here.
After I put it in standby using the stock RC and power off the TV the box image never comes back again, just the black "so signal" screen.
Yesterday I realized that the Android probably is woking fine, green led turns red when I press RC power button and comes back to green when press it again, orange LAN led also seems ok.

How to change the resolution  with no screen at all to see what I'm doing?

While we are happy to help, the shipping alone on this situation is going to cost a lot of money.

As you have spent some time in our forums, you can see that there were some problems with the 1900's that we have since fixed the majority of issues with this update. Your problem however, seems like it may be hardware related, and is very rare.

While I understand that this is hearsay at this point, buying electronics overseas or from foreign countries is always not recommended. I purchased an iPhone in the USA and brought it to China while living there for awhile and ran into the same problems that you are.

As for what can be done now, if you think that the issue is most likely related to the power pin and you likely won't be sending it overseas for repair, you can try opening it up and soldering the points of the power pin to the board.

The pin being loose is usually related to an impact onto the power pin which dislodges the soldering points from the board. If you are feeling adventurous about trying this, PM me and we can go through it together and I can try to help.

    Hello,

About the power pin being loose I can assure you the unit has never had any impact or fall, the unit has always been this way since first day.
This problem occurs when the box is moved minimally, or just touching the cables but once turned on and at rest it worked "perfectly", until it resolved to fail the HDMI signal. Tested different HDMI cables and monitor inputs, the TV screen says "no signal".

I can open up the unit and try to find the problem by myself but I need some instructions because I just unscrew the 4 screws at bottom and it stills closed, is the shell glued?  how to open it without broken things? I can do a photo report from all inside and send to you.

    Thank you.

    luciano,

I guess we are missing part of the picture here then in trying to help. You bought this unit in a different country and cannot return it, but you mention how disappointed in our company you are.

What is it that we have done that is upsetting to you? we are happy to try and help fix something regardless of where you purchased this device. If you are in north america and purchased the device elsewhere, this creates obvious problems for returning the product.

Where did you purchase this device from?

How long ago did you buy it?

    Where are you located?

    Hi,
I am disappointed first because that I have encountered too many issues with a product that is not cheap for such bugs, then for finding other posts here asking for help without answers or attention,  sometimes people recommends me to go buy something else and quit from MyGica...

well, I'm in Brazil and bought the unit during a tourism trip in Paraguay last May as follows:

    Product Model: MyGica ATV1900AC - SN: MV190015080309

    Hello,

Surely something is wrong with the unit. Have you tried having it replaced under warranty yet?

    Hello,

I can not send it back to the store where because I bought it in another country,  shipping cost makes it impossible.
I do not know the MyGica position about replacements, I did contact by private messages, I was asked where I bought the unit, after my answer there was no return from MyGica/Forum guy Justin.

  9. My 1900ac is dead again.

The screen goes black and never comes back, tried different HDMI cables, no response at all.
The first time this happened I ended up giving up and the box remained off for weeks, so another try and it worked again (magically?) last week, I did the upgrade to 5.1 firmware from this post, it remained working for about 4 days until today.

some times the box recognises the LAN, orange led turns but nothing more, no image.
2 times the HDMI signal comes out but the box freezes right after Lolllipop logo.

I realized that the power plug is very sensitive, any small movement and all leds flashes, bad contact, short circuit or something here I don't know.

    any clue?

I am very disappointed with MyGica and this product.

  10. After 3 fails now its done,  1900ac is running 5.1 here but new issues comes out.

Can't install Google App,  trying from Playstore and getting "error -505", trying from my backup and get an X icon with the message "app not installed".

Google now do not work, voice feature do no work also.

How to fix this and install Google now?

    thank you
