    Keep me posted.

On the 1800 + 582 + 1900ac that I have tried this on I do not get this choppy boot up so far.

I had to revert to the Lollipop version 5.02  (don't know the firmware version) because performance was so bad.  5.02 had all cores enabled to performance which was better.  Now that I'm on this newer version performance is up to where I expected it to be (except for the choppy boot)

This was to fix issues with 1900AC
But the same FW also worked on the 1800
So if it was used on the 1900ac or 1800, you would get the same issues on both.

After the release + patch I posted yesterday, users with 380/582 can use this as well

So far the 1900AC hasn't exhibited any issues other than choppy boot up.  It is way faster than before.  It's very noticeable.  I'll let you know if the on/off issues still exist.

We have spent a lot of time on these updates for all of our older models to satisfy everyone's requests, so therefore after the next update I do not foresee us releasing anymore updates for Android 5.1 for 1900AC/1800/582/380

With all due respect, the time you spent on these updates IS TO FIX THE PROBLEMS THAT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH THE PRODUCT.  These updates were not to benefit us such as additional new features but to fix issues in a shipping product.  There is NO way that this product should have been shipped with all these outstanding issues (mac address, slow rendering, on/off,  volume control etc) just to name a few.  Where was the quality control?

If there was a car with faulty brakes, and they could reproduce it in the same model car what do you think would be the end result?  It's called a RECALL.  Something that MyGica should've done.  Offer to fix the issue and not complain about time spent trying to fix the issue, replace the unit with a working one free of defect or reimburse the customer.

I appreciate the time spent on resolving the issue.  So far so good but still slow on boot with choppy graphics which none of my previous MyGica units exhibit.  But please don't say no updates cause of time spent on trying to fix issues on the unit when the unit itself (1900AC) should not have been shipped in its condition.

As far as the 1800,582 and 380 this update should not apply to them cause this is a 1900AC issue as far as I'm concerned.

Good news is I have a new Beta  FW + On Demand Patch.

I am still waiting on 1 more update that will include the patch + fix IR Remote issue on KODI 17.3 when using return button/menu button and also rename the firmware

    Noticeable changes

    1. Updated to KODI 17.3
    2. Updated Google Play Services
    3. Faster Performance
    4. Fixed Mac Address changing
    5. Turned off click sounds when browsing through the Home Screen + Android Settings
    6. Fixed Screensaver issue when watching a video
    7. Improved video playback
    8. Improved standby issues as best we could. There is not much more we can do about this issue.

You can install this IMG file using the UPGRADE APP that is pre installed on your box, and just use Local Update.
Make sure to install 20170603.img first, and then the ondemand patch 2nd.

PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR BOX

The setting of HotPlug in the earlier version was not intentional
I apologize for the big delay on switching it to On Demand.

Antutu Benchmark tests came back at over 37.000 for this FW
+ Geekbench test cames back at Multicore over 1600
This is so far one of our best FWs to date for 5.1 on the 1800/1900AC

The good news is, this also runs on the  ATV 582/380
It lags a bit when your first boot it or reboot the box, but after a few mins it runs smoothly on the 582/380

Justin, I think you guys are talking about the same graphics issue I mentioned in my earlier post, but not entirely sure. I'm finding it's present whenever there's fast motion on the screen. If you watch the mygica opening animation on 4.4 for 1800e vs. 5.1 for 1800e, you'll very noticeably see the difference. Whenever there's fast motion it plays kind of jerky. Did you end up looking into this?

Exactly this.  I think it's caused by the hotplug and them reducing the 4 cores down to 2.  This is not present when all cores are working.  If they were to change the profile from hotplug to ondemand or some other similar profile I think it would work

You don't need to send the video

I know what you are talking about

k  Ty.  I'm just a little frustrated.  I bought the 1900AC a little just over a year ago and surprised the issues are still going on.  I've had/.have the 520e, 582, 380 and now the 1900AC and the worst issues have been with the most expensive product.  I had put the 520e with open elect and it was awesome till it went kaput.  The 582 and 380 are working with no issues other than the fact I broke the clip on the ethernet box that secures the cable on the 582.  Both are stable just a little slower than when I had the 1900AC on Lollipop 5.0.  but on 5.1.1 the 1900AC is slower.

I also agree you have the right to complain.
You are not satisfied with your purchase.

I have read through everything from everyone and will try to get the Core Issue + Mac address issue resolved.
The standby issue on 1800, I still don't have a solution for it.  I touched on this already in a previous post within this thread.

Please keep in mind, the 1800 uses the Amlogic S802 chipset.
We are one of the only box makers that have provided an OS update of Android 5.1 for this chipset, AMLogic themselves do not even have 5.1 available for the S802
The reason I say this, is because maintaining a version of Android on your own is not an easy task.

If this thread continues with just people bashing each other, I will have to close it

I'm not here to bash anyone.  I just want these issues resolved just like everyone else.  I just don't agree with the methods these dev are taking with the product.

Justin, I'm going to send you a small video of the startup screen so you can see for yourself how slow the boot process is and it continues onto kodi where I get buffering issues where I should have none.  Just to give you an idea, my 380 is working better and faster than my 1900AC and it only has 1GB of ram.

Don't read and complain about him posting if it bothers you so much. He has every right for something he payed for to work properly.

Ty.  Like I said, I don't think someone would pay top dollar for a product that doesn't function they way it's advertised.  ie 7700k with only 2 working cores that doesn't reach clock speed as advertised.  I can downgrade the software but will give me other issues.  If people buy an expensive smartphone would they not be upset if they couldn't use any apps from the playstore/app store?  I think they would.  It defeats the purpose of buying a smartphone.

I paid 200+ dollars for this shit and people are saying I shouldn't complain.  They should get a box like mine where there are slowdowns because the dev ON PURPOSE reduced the amount of cores to be used (from 4 to 2).  Is there buffering ? YES!  It fixes audio issues but NOT standby issues.  Downgrade to 4.4?  Possibly with audio issues and still standby issues with no future upgrade to Kodi 17.1.  A product like this with all these issues shouldn't have been released with all these bugs that it seems they can't fix.

then sell it.. or drive over it.. if it bothers you that much that instead of leaving it on with  no return issue than why are u wasting your and everyones time with the same endless bitch. its a simple fix to leave on.. its a simple fix to dl nstools from google play and remove the hot plug so all 4 cores are at idle..  this gripe you have can be fixed but you keep complaing on the same things that have a  fix if you choose to.  far as i can see this topic should be closed.. try the fixes offered or move on..

    You want to buy it?

Probably for the same reason you don't put your foot to the floor and leave it there when you get your car out on the highway.

also, I have never turned my 1800e 'off', or into standby, never saw the need, most media players just turn off the video out anyway, so power saving is pretty much a non issue.

would you pay top dollar for a core i7 7700k know that only 2 cores would work and it operates below core frequency never hitting it's rated turbo?  No you wouldn't .

soo down load the nstools app and remove the hot plug.. i did.. its awesome. set it to 612 max or performance mod,  ... if man made it you can change it. you just have  to a lil more open minded with how to change it is  all im saying.... keep all 4 cores at idle waiting for you to give it gas so ta speak..

First of all I shouldn't have to download any tool to make the product work as advertised.  Second even with the tool the settings don'tstay after a reboot.

Justin, this does not fix the standby issues.  I have an LG TV with the 1900AC.  If its turned off for a long period of time and you try to turn it on, the green light comes on and the TV is black screen and it says no signal.

First of all I have the 1900AC not the 1800.  Second, would you pay hundreds of thousands for a Ferarri knowing theres a Kia engine inside?  Don't think so.

exactly.. just leave it on for frik sakes.. and move on with it already.. mines been on for years.  red light green light.. same shizat .. if it crashs when in stand by mod leave it on and have no issue next time you select it on ur inputs.. very simple ppl,,

That's not the point.  It should work as advertised.  You're happy that they limit the cores in your box to 2 instead of having all 4 working?  Also, why is the box limited to 1.6Ghz if its advertised as 2Ghz?
