Australian Presto movie service not supported

Has anyone had success with getting the Australian Presto movie app to work on the 1800E?

I have a subscription to Presto that works fine on my Galaxy Tab however, when I launch the app on the 1800E the Presto log-in screen returns - "Please check your internet connection and try again" in place of where the normal log-in credentials fields are.

The 1800E has functioning internet connectivity so I am guessing it is because the device is rooted.

Is there a work around that would allow me to use my device with Presto?
