Firmware issues on older ATV582

Hey all,

I recently ran into an issue with an older 582 that was running a version of the firmware that I'm not familiar with. It resembled the ATV1200 on the Home screen.

I had a lot of issues with applications freezing, booting out immediately after launch, and intermittently going to a black screen. I tried to upgrade the firmware to a few different versions (11/05, 9/25, as well as the recent March firmware) with no luck.

I also could not get into the system recovery menu, and the factory reset didn't do anything either. Unfortunately, the device is also out of warranty.

Any suggestions?

*EDIT* May have found a solution, running a u-boot SD.
