How to get rid of "video" push icons top of screen ?

Just picked up the 1900ac and noticed at the top of the screen other than the home screen there are all these video play icon buttons.

While i can play them or drop down to remove them ..they keep returning.

Getting rather annoying.... any help in permanently removing them so they are not being "pushed" down..greatly appreciated.

The launcher is set up to hide the status bar, you can download apps like GMD full screen to hide the status bar.

You might try different ones. I know GMD disables the use of your remote and only allows mouse function while running.

Thanks for your reply wookie...in the meantime there was an ota update...which seemed to correct the problem.
