Strangeness

I bought a MyGica 1800e new from the store this weekend and have allowed the device to automatically update to the latest firmware (sorry, I'm at work and don't recall the firmware version). I turned the device off last night using the remote control and this morning I noticed that the ethernet LED was flashing on and off as if the device was still online even when the power was turned off. When I tried to power the unit on it would not come on. I tried with the remote AND the front panel power buttons but it would not go on. Finally I had to unplug the power and the device rebooted.

Is this normal?

It happens from time to time, hold down the power button on remote and it will allow the box to reboot. Most electronics that use that much resources tend to lock up, ie computer, smart phone.
