Quad core remotes

I purchased a KR53 remote to use with my ATV 1800e and it initially seems to work fine except for the power button.

Should it be able to power the device on/off (it doesn't) or is it incompatible?

Sorry, couple of adders;

- I'm on the 11/05 firmware

- included remote powers on & gives standby/reboot menu when toggling off

- KR100 on / off works fine (no menu for off - just puts box into standby/sleep)

The KR53 does power the ATV 1800e on but no reaction when trying to turn it off.

I'm trying to settle on a single remote;

Mouse function on the included remote is horrid.

KR100 is clunky & the mouse isn't active (moveable) unless you hold it's button down.

KR53 would be just right if power (wake/sleep) worked.
