  1. With my 13 yrs old CRT Grundig TV which has 100Hz screen refresh I found that Android 4.2.2 indeed does have video problems just as you outlined. But the picture was not badly off to begin with, only when I started OOBE and tried to correct the view that the picture size jumped to very big size with the result that I could see at best only some 3/4 of the Android umbrela (only upper left part of the big picture is visible while the figure should be in the middle of the screen all visible) and I didn't save the result so that I kept a sort of OK picture... but then in Kodi (Helix 14.2) some movies had picture in lower right screen quadrant only (original video size) or the picture was too big and I saw just part of the view...

Android v 4.1.2 is better but I get very marginal picture quality (text in Kodi is hardly readable, movies picture quality is sort of kind OK to watch but could be better), with my TV anyway (it is not quite regular TV, it has 100 Hz refresh which use to result into very nice, 'quiet' (of noise and flicker) picture with the old analog broadcast, perhaps because it is 100 Hz screen refresh?

Only thing I can suggest and will try myself is to uninstall XBMC Frodo 12.2 and see if I could install Helix 14.2, for now still the best conservative choice that 'just works'. That's because I would also like to put that old CRT TV to some use in a spare room, it is still sort of newish TV as it hasn't been in use many years, despite its age.

    Alright a Few things,

    1. CRT TVs that means you need to change your Screen Resolution, on Flat Screen with HDMI, before you hook RCA from box to your CRT TV

    2. if box picture is perfect then you can load Kodi and it will fix the screen size auto

if your still having issue, please contact the support line

  2. it was always Kodi issue, and we have addressed to Kodi, i know they have provided a new APK for the fix, but since your on ATV1200, you need to process these steps

    1. Uninstall Current Kodi from box,

    2. download Kodi 15.0 RC2 from http://kodi.tv/kodi-15-0-isengard-rc-2/

    3. save it on a USB or SD card

    4. hook the USB to ATV1200

    5. launch App Installer

    6. Select USB or SD card

    7. Click on Install and it should be fixed

by the way Kodi finally fixed a few issues with Android on this release

  3. Could I just use the single zip file Justin posted in this topic:

to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2? Or I have to use these two files for the upgrade?

Depends which remote you have with your box, that is why there is a difference KR34 is the little remote and KR60 is the bigger remote

that is difference with files, but still you need one file loading

  4. Lovely, so my father is having more difficulties in using this box. Netflix app is broken, I can't even access google play to try and upgrade netflix due to GP being broken too. Xbmc is a hit and miss when turning off device and back on. Movies still dropping frames. Just can't win with this streamer. Give me a nuc any day.

Two words are used on this post

    1. Broken apps

    2. Streamer

One more thing.. make sure its Mygica Box and on next post please bring in the model ID that way we know how to fix the issue before you blame everything

  5. thank you for that feed back, we were told they are taking care, but i have added our email too just so we could check and know what is going on.

I know they are forming a support team in Europe.. but till then .com will take care of you

please send another email and cc to us i am sure they will process your request quick

Too late, the MyGica warranty has run out by now, but I'm still within my 24 months European Limited Warranty.

My first MyGica box broke down after 4 months (stuck in recovery) and I had to wait almost 2 months to have it replaced by the vendor, who tried to delay the process to get over the 6 month period (after 6 months I have to proof, that the product was faulty).

New box was working fine for the next 8 months, but then got stuck in recovery again.

My vendor (German online shop) and MyGica were ignoring me and kept me waiting for weeks for an answer and in the end I had to buy a new box.

I'm very disappointed in the way this was handled.

I am going to escalate your issue to our superiors please hang in there i am sure will figure out a solution for you
