  1. We are doing OTA updates over the next week Starting with the following, the updates should start on Friday and we will be updating each model in the order below. All of this will take about a week to complete all models with updates. I will post up manual files as well once I have them all ready. ATV 1900 ATV 586 ATV 1800/582/380 ATV 585 For Android 5.0, I will post up the ATV 1900 FW as a manual download, you can use this on 1800/582/380. I have tested this and it works.
  2. I will have to look into this and get back with you. It might be hard to fix this issue, as engineers do not have any CRT Televisions, everything is on HDMI over there.
  3. Alright a Few things, 1. CRT TVs that means you need to change your Screen Resolution, on Flat Screen with HDMI, before you hook RCA from box to your CRT TV 2. if box picture is perfect then you can load Kodi and it will fix the screen size auto if your still having issue, please contact the support line van141 has the same problem of mine. With the difference that my screen is significantly decentered and with android 4.2.2 I can't correct it. It's definately a 4.2.2 bug!!! I think it's an important feedback for you! So OOBE works for you if using Android 4.1?
  4. Have you tried these videos yet? These have worked very well with the customers of ours having remote issues.
  5. - Netflix HD app, we are working out a deal with a private app store which has the DRM Certification with Netflix for Netflix HD TV version, we hope to have this deal done within the next few months. We found out after talking with Netflix, they require DRM Certification to get the Netflix TV App + HD, and it is very hard to get this from them. So we found a work around with the private app store. Trying to seal the deal on this within the next few months. It is a long process for this.
  6. 5.1 has faster app loading. Faster OS Cleaner looking settings GUI Adds built in Chromecast Voice search (With compatible remote) We plan to use non rooted firmware, so lots of GO apps and streaming apps should work now There are other benefits as well. I have been using 5.0.2 for a few months now, and enjoy it way more over 4.4.2
  7. Pushing for an OTA update very soon. But we also plan on moving from 4.4.2 to 5.1 in September.
  8. I applied the settings and there is a noticeable difference on my Netflix experience. It ain't perfect but a step towards the right direction. Thanks for sharing guys but it ain't sorted out yet IMHO. Needs a bit of work still and I'm sure others are looking for and official release in the form of a rom soon. Betas are fine but they should be just that ... betas. To better your Netflix experience set the box to 24Hz ... it looks better this way. As stated before, been trying for weeks to reproduce this. Even got 'Flybynights' 1800E, and still could no reproduce the issue. Sounds more like an account settings issue at this point
  9. As I told, my problem with a CRT TV is that the screen is decentered and only OOBE app could solve it. (Android with umbrella) Unfortunately MBOX can only modify the whole screen size, in percentage. Not move the screen sides one by one as OOBE does. WIth 4.1 I can do it, with 4.2 it works only with hdmi not with cvbs (rca) . I mean, with rca connected, the app starts but it doesn't work Sorry that this does not work for you. You can downgrade to 4.1 if you want, I have the files for this if you need them.
  10. Thank you very much and I'm sorry if I doubt ... I need an explanation before I install again the 4.2 an other time.... I don't understand what has to do kodi with my problem. Do Kodi manage the screen dimensions of the whole Android system? OOBE is not the only application to do it? I mean.... Because I started Kodi and it has only a function to correct IT'S OWN screen size but not the whole of Android system... I don't know if I explained well..... There is an app called MBOX Settings. Under display settings you can change the screen size in there.
  11. Yes There should be no issues with Ethernet though, this has been tested many many times.
  12. Forgot to add This new group of coders said external usb bluetooth is possible as well. Just need to send them few dongles to them so they can add the support for it. And then will post up which brand and model # can be used.
  13. I had "Flybynight" bring his box to me, and I swapped it for him. He was having major Audio Sync issues in Netflix, now when I hooked up his unit up and watched Netflix for 2+ hours, I could not find any audio sync issues. I even asked 3 other co workers to watch it, in case I was seeing things different and they got the same results as me. He mentioned to me afterwards that he changed the Playback settings of his Netflix account to this I was thinking it may have something to do with the Netflix settings of my account. Which had playback settings set to "High" and Test Participation set to "On". I currently have the settings at Playback - "Auto" and Test Participation - "Off". I will continue to try reproduce this here, but haven't been able to so far. But is there a new firmware release coming in the next week or so? Is lollipop going to be a reality? Will we eventually have hd Netflix app. Are you progressing towards Android TV certification? These are all statements you have made over the past year Justin. Will some/all become reality? Thanks! - Firmware update being sent as OTA within the next week or so - We will be moving to Lollipop 5.1 by next month. Plus I will be posting OPENELEC as well. And we will also be adding a different ROM version of Android 5.1 from a new group of coders who will be on this forum as well supporting, just working out the details with them now. So you will have 3 options to choose from soon, 2 versions of Android and Openelec KODI Linux. - Android TV Certification is not possible right now for AMLogic devices. Google will only certify certain chipsets, which right now are Intel, Broadcom, Qualcomm and Nvidia Tegra, I might have missed some, but this is the info that was given to me directly from Google.

  15. Email me I have a bootloader fix for this. Just email me support@mygica.ca I will send you download link for it.
  16. Justin, the file linked to the OP is still 0703. Did you update the file contents, or am I missing a link somewhere? We sent an OTA Update that is dated 0721
  17. S802 Chip which is used on 582/1800/380 does not support H.265 Hardware decoding only software.
  18. For those of you having No Wifi Issue, I have a bootloader fix for this Email me for it support@mygica.ca Please note it will reset everything, and it is the March Firmware, but I can confirm it will fix the No Wifi issue
  19. Responded about the remote control not working in a different post. Still have to look at the Netflix audio issue Will look at Wifi Speeds as well Thanks for the responses guys
  20. We cannot do anything about the buttons not working, it is because the app Netflix and Crackle is mainly developed for touch screen devices since it is the mobile/tablet version. If you use an Air Mouse or regular mouse, you will be able to control the functions you say are not working. Surprised the netflix audio is still having issues, will have to report this again.
  21. I will post it soon in Beta. The first version I got had remote issues, so just waiting on those to be fixed. Other then that it works very well for myself.
