PicturePlayer issues

It would not let me go to the next/previous picture with remote control arrow buttons. I have MyGica_4.2_20150209_KR34 firmware.

Since it is useless, I would like to uninstall it but it is not possible either.

PicturePlayer is a System App, meaning, It sits in the ROM, so of course you can't uninstall it like regular apps.

If you really want to get rid of it, you can either:

1) use some file explorer that has root accessibility (such as ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, etc.) and navigate to /device/system/app

there you can delete the file PicturePlayer.apk

Once you restart myGica, the app will be gone forever

or

2) use some root apps uninstaller or something like Titanium Backup

It will show all the apps in the ROM as well, and you can choose to uninstall them permanently.

But the point is, why bother? PicturePlayer only occupes about 5 MB.

Does that really make you happier saving that meagre 5 MB?
