Updating kodi

Hi all- newbie question- I ha e been looking through forums and to update kodi on my Gica 380/520 is it just a firmware update via usb or is there a separate procedure for Xbmc/kodi? Been looking but can't seem to find instructions..... Any help is greatly appreciated

Kodi 14.1 is included in the new (Feb) ROM.

Therefore, when you update the firmware (ROM), you will already have the latest Kodi. (no need to install separately)

Note: You should put the firmware on the SD card (and not on USB) to carry out your update.

awesome thank you very much. curious- why the sdcard over usb? I had another post for update and my atv 380 took the update no issues but i had to download kodi separately as it was missing on reboot of teh device. all is working fine now....

If you want to update using USB you can only do this on Recovery Mode.

Otherwise only SD Card works using the Upgrade app in the Android OS.
