Trouble with networking.

Recommended Posts

I had my ATV 582 working seamlessly with my Windows 7 network.

Now all of a sudden I cant access any of my computers' files via XBMC on my box.

How do I do a factory reset? I tried within the software but it is asking for a password.

I input my google password it doesn't work.

I tried the reset button on the bottom, it isn't doing anything.

Now I see there is new firmware. Should I get that installed and just start from zero?

Please help!

Okay I finally managed to hard reset the 582.

Got into my HTPC no problem.

When going into my desktop it keeps asking for a username and password in Lock Setting.

Don't remember coming across this before!

After an hour or two trying to get this working, I am fairly certain this is a Win7 issue and not

something that got changed within the 582 itself.

I must admit I purchased this box to replace my old PBO and now that I have time to play

am kind of blown away with all the other features!

That being said I am pretty sure it is behind by two firmware updates.

Currently running... Android 4.4.2 Build V001M801_20140925 Kernel 3.10.33

Could someone please confirm that for me.

Thanks!

Alright.....Got it updated and everything seems GREAT!

Easily networked some vid files already.

I agree about Win 7. Will read the other link you provided for me, Mark.

On a side note, I had to copy the firmware file onto a Micro SD card by usb cable to my phone!

Windows always want me to format any card, and then its unable do it!

Thanks again, Mark!

I have been adding Video/Files in XBMC. They are working great,

however I have mislabeled a couple of folders.

How do I delete, or change those path names?
