Finally, the 1900AC as it should be.

Recommended Posts

I to am one of the very frustrated buyers of the 1900AC. In fact so frustrated that I took the plunge and installed the 1800E image on my box. It's now back to android 4.4.2 with buttery smooth operation and able to run the programs I want and use most often.

I started by installing the "update_Mygica_ATV582_20141105_MAG.img"

then installed the "update_MyGica_1800-582-380_4.4_20150321"

After I rebooted, the unit did an automatic download of the newest update dated "20150721"

I then install Chris B's Spartan Build, then after the install upgraded to the Chris B's Spartan Android Build. Man is it sweet!!!

Finally, the 1900AC as it should be.

My about device now reads:

Model number

XS

Android version

4.4.2

Uboot version

10d3da4(20150701.170752)

Kernel version

3.10.33

jp@ubt124 694df11(20150702.155743)

Build number

V002M801_20150721

Good to hear you are liking it now

May I know where this Spartan build is that you mention?

There was just a small patch file sent down OTA for the 1900, with a Firmware update to follow hopefully within the next few days. I have been testing a 5.0.2 FW file since Monday and it works good so far, just needs a few other bugs worked out, then can send down for OTA.

Thank you very much for your kind of solution, but no, it is not really one, maybe temporary..and not even this, rahjer. people pay for a mercedes (1900AC) and drive home with a beetle (1800E), right?

and the loss of the gigabyte Lan? the antic 4.4 android with heavy issues compared to lollipop?

no and triple NO!

the 1800E is a aged and cheap tv box, not to compare with the 1900E, if she would have 5.1.1 and a working Lan.

if you drive a Ferrari, you use cheap tractor oil?

Dear rahjer, Spartan Build is not from Chris B, its from Tech Timeruuu.....

you mix a lot of stuff up! like flashing the 1900AC with all kind of different firmwares from other boxes with other specs!

Never liked this Build, like its says..spartanic...no iptv, he kicked it..and if its by him alone, we watch flower tv, not more....miserable content this build!

But XXX movies....he really is a true american...

Our next 1900AC Firmware to be sent OTA this weekend, should have a lot of stuff fixed, and work the way the box should be.

Since I have down graded my 1900 to the 1800 firmware, will the new firmware for the 1900 do an automatic install or will the new 1900 firmware have to be installed manually?

It would have to be manually installed, you changed the .img to an 1800, so the box thinks it's an 1800

If I had wanted to buy the atv1800 then I had not bought the atv1900. If, to work properly, I have to install a lower firmware then please give me back my money and I'll buy the atv1800 :(

The new ATV 1900 FW update that will be sent down as OTA over the next few days will fix a lot of issues, and you should be able to use the box the way it should be used.

Sorry about the frustration you are having with your 1900.
