Upgrade to 1800E or another 582?

Hello guys,

I currently have a 582 which I'm fairly happy with. I'm thinking to setup another room with a TV and Android box.

My question for you. The 1800E and the 582 shares a lot of components. But the 1800E got 2Gb or Ram and a little more onboard memory and the 1800E got a SD slot which is cheaper to fill than the MicroSD on the 582.

Bottom line, does the 2Mb of the 1800E makes a significant improvement in performance?

I know it's almost a moot question since the SD cards are so much cheaper than the MicroSD's once a 128Gb card is added, the price of both is about the same and you get more ram with the 1800E.

Other reasons to go for a 1800E?

Thanks guys - self-reply LoL - I went and bought a 1800E.

The extra Gig of ram makes a big difference. The box runs much smoother than the 582 when you have few apps in the backgroud. Switching between them is quick. No more freezing for few seconds like I used to see on the 582.

Conclusions -> 1800E all the way for 2 reasons

1 The extra memory gives room for smoother operations.

2 The SD slot is less expensive to fill.

The 1800 seems to run cooler. Something to consider if you want to keep it for a long time. Heat kills electronics.
