ATV582 - Openelec downgrade

Good day,

Does anyone know how to to revert back to Android from an Openelec installation.

Using ATV582, with OpenELEC-Amlogic.arm-S82-6.0.0.

Tried facvtory restore, but files almost gets half way, before it loads the android man completely, and goes back to Openelec. Possible that my SD card faulty?

Also get the error: footer wrong, siganture verfication failed.

Should i be using a different Openelec version for the ATV582?

Tried the M8 version, but in a similar post, it was said not use the M8 software.

Totally lost, please help.

This has worked for me to revert back from Openelec

I have been uploading all my zip files of factory restore cards onto my onedrive. I keep them updated for the most part and I will keep putting them up until they are all there.

Hi Justin,

Managed to revert back to Android system.

Emailed support@mygica and was sent a link to Openelec for the ATV582.

Installed that, but it hung and was then able to re-install android.

For some odd reason i was not able to see image files when using that other software and my sd card did not work or show up.

Also tried those files on the one-drive but it also hung.

But its the previous openelec i used.

Seems odd that it is hanging for you.

Is your SD card formatted to FAT32?
