ATV1800e Remote not working

Recently bought this model and the pairing with remote/ keyboard worked for a while but then stopped.

The IR dongle does not light up anymore and is not recognizable when plugged into a computer. Can not return the unit for this it works fine except for pairing with the remote. Any suggestions?

What remote do you have, the KR-40 or KR-301? Nvr the less try a new battery that usually works for me as I think these remotes eat batteries.

These have worked very well with the customers of ours having remote issues.
